Apartment in Palais Varnhagen

WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN 2020S

2017

F°56 is a modern style showcase and part of the newly built Palais Varnhagen on Französische Straße, realized by David Chipperfield. Centrally located between the historical Brandenburger Tor and the lively Gendarmenmarkt, it is in the heart of Berlin city.

The architectural concept with its remarkable U-shape reminds of classical French palais. Each apartment has abundant daylight and an unobstructed view on the well maintained internal „fairy garden“ and plentiful upper facade greenery, outlining the roof terraces. The living space is reminiscent of the salon culture in the golden 1920s, displaying opulent spaces for consummately private and semi-public gatherings.

A focus on copious space, found in balance to both socialize and retreat, the apartment has a minimum room height of more than 3 meters. Vast windows merge the exterior and interior and convey an open and spacious feeling. Clear shapes and clean lines appear in a relaxed aesthetic with a muted color palette producing an exquisite mélange with local art and playful lighting. This apartment reflects CARLOS’s restraint with his unparalleled aesthetic and impeccable attention to detail.
